By the Proprietaries - Pennsylvania, ff. Whereas Michael Wallicker of the County of Lancaster hath requested that we would allow him to take up twenty Acres of Land joining George Urich & one H. (?) Reinholds in Cocalico Township in the sd. County
(Provided the same Land does not lie in or interfere with our Manor of Conestoga or any other of our Manors or appropriated Tracts) for which he agrees to pay our Receiver-General to our Use, immediately, at the Rate of fie pound sterling or value thereof in Current Money of this Province for every Hundred Acres; and to take out a Patent of Confirmation for the same within the Term or Two Years from the Date hereof; and also to pay the yearly Quit-Rent of One ~ Penny Sterling for every Acre thereof, to Us, our Heirs and Assigns forever, to commence from six Months after Date hereof.
These are therefore to authorize and require you to survey, or cause to be surveyed, unto the said Michael Wallicker at the Place aforesaid, according to the Method of Townships appointed, the said Quantity of twenty Acres, if not already surveyed or appropriated, and to mae Return thereof into the Secretary's Office, in Order for Confirmation as aforesaid, for which this shall be your sufficient Warrant; Which Warrant and the Survey thereon made, in case the said Michael Wallicker fulfil the above Agreement in all Things on his Part, shall be valid, otherwise void. Witness John Penn, E'quire, one of the said Proprietaries, who as well in his own RIght, as by Virtue of certain Powers from John Penn, Junior, Esquire, the other Proprietor, and the Right Honorable Lady Juliana Penn, his Testamentary Guardian, hath hereunto set her Hand, and caused the Seal of the Land-Office to be affixed, at Philadelphia, this eighteenth Day of October Anno Domini One Thousand Seven Hundred and Seventy Six
