1842 - Sept. 26 - Orange Co., Indiana - Peter Cornwell's will 
Know all men by these presents that I, Peter Cornwell of the county of Orange and State of Indiana being in my proper mind but very low in health, I am disposed to make this my last will and testament relative to the distribution of all my goods, chattels, lands and tenements viz: 1st my body, after death, may be buried in a decent Christianlike manner.
2nd. I first here give and bequeath all and singular my lands and tenements and personally property to my beloved wife Elizabeth Cornwell, during her natural life provided she shall remain my widow, so long and after her death or ceasing to be my widow after the payment of all my just debts I then give and bequeath all my lands and tenements goods, chattles, rights, credits, moneys and affects to be equally divided between my four children in equal proportions, viz. Simon A. Cornwell, Nancy Cornwell, William H. Cornwell and Elizabeth Cornwell and in order that the above will may be carried into effect and executed according to law.  I appoint my two sons, Simon A. and William H. Cornwell to be executors of the same.  Given under my hand and seal this 26th day of September 1842.

Be it remembered that on this 19th day of October 1842 Simon A. Cornwell and William H. Cornwell, executors within named produced that within will before me and proved by Joel Vandevere and Richard Hall, the subscribing witnesses thereto that the said will had been duly executed and published as such when of sound in presence of themselves who at the request of said Testator and in his presence and in presence of each other became subscribing witnesses thereto.
Witness my hand and the seal of said court ---- aforesaid.

Since the son Jacob disappeared in 1820, it's possible he was the son of Peter & Elizabeth Cornwell of Orange County, Indiana and just not mentioned in the will.  Jacob's wife Mary lived in Orange County. 
1842 - October 19 - Indiana, Orange Co. - Peter Cornwell probate
Be it remembered that on the 19th day of October 1842 Simon A. Cornwell and William H. Cornwell executors named therein -------   ------ proved before the Clerk of the Orange Probate Court the last will and testament of Peter Cornwell, late of Orange County dec'd. and having executed bonds and required by law in the penal sum of $1000 with Joel Vandevere and Henry Wolf their securities and qualified thereupon letters testamentary upon said last will and testament were carried to said Executors. 
1844 - May 28 - Indiana, Orange Co. - Peter Cornwell probate
Simon A. Cornwell and William H. Cornwell, executors of Peter Cornwell dec. file seven several vouchers amounting to Thirty nine dollars and eighty one cents. Ordered that said Executors receive credit therefore  $39.81
1845 - Feb. 24 - Indiana, Orange Co. - Peter Cornwell probate
Simon A. and W.H. Cornwell Executor of the Estate of Peter Cornwell deceased no files 5 vouchers amounting in all to sixty four dollars and ninety two 1/2 cents.  And it is ordered that said Executor be credited with that amount $64.92 1/2 
1846 - May 24 - Indiana, Orange Co. - Peter Cornwell probate
Simon A. & W.H. Cornwell Exrs of the estate of Peter Cornwell dec'd. come  now and file to [two] vouchers amounting to the sum of four dollars, ordered that they be credited Court that amount. $4.00
1846 - May 27 - Indiana, Orange Co. - Peter Cornwell probate
Simon A. & W.H. Cornwell Ex. of Peter Cornwell dec'd. comes now and files two vouchers amount to $38.36 ordered that they be credited with that sum $28.36
And it appearing that said Exs have fully administered said estate it is ordered that they be discharged from further services in the premises (?).
