Opal Fern Hall, 99, of Wayne City passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at 1:22 a.m. at Hamilton Memorial Hospital in McLeansboro.

Opal was a homemaker and was married to the late Marshall Hall.

Funeral service is scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City with services to be conducted by Reverend Robert Seifreid, and burial will follow at Garrison Cemetery in Aden. 

Visitation will run from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Richardson Funeral Home.

Opal was born on July 28, 1918 in Hamilton County to John T. Erkmann and Ann Elzine Heady.

Survivors include a son, Kenneth (Jeannie) Hall of Wayne City; four grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. 

Opal was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, three brothers, four sisters and one grandson.
