1822, Aug. 23 - David Robertson Sr. sold to David Robertson Jr. the South 1/2 of lot 1261 Twp. 1, Range 14, 160 acres.  This is land David Sr. purchased from James George.
  • David Robertson Sr. sold to John Robertson the North 1/2 of lot 1261 Twp. 1, Range 14, 160 acres bounded on the Ohio River on the east.  Robertson and Robinson are used interchangeably in this deed.

Know all men by these presents that we Mary Robertson and William Robertson executors of the last Will and Testament of David Robertson Senr. deceased do in pursuance of the provisions of said last will and testament constituted and appointed James Robertson our lawful agent and attorney for us and on our behalf and in our stead to bargain, sell, alien and convey all our intentions a certain tract or parcel of land lying and being in the County of Gallia in the State of Ohio, to wit: the one half of the 300 acres of land in said County and State wherein Robertson resided at the time of the decease of the said David and which said land was desired by the said David in his last will and testament in words following namely "The one half of the 300 acres of land in Gallia County Ohio Whereon our beloved Son James Robertson now resides is to belong to him. The other half to be sold and the benefit thereof given up to my beloved wife Mary Robertson and son William Robertson as my sole executors of this my last will and testament was duly proved before James Adams Judge of Probate in and for Sangamon County in the state of Illinois by Samuel Rigg, John Morris and Euell Rigg on the 4th day of June AD 1829. Said Will bears date of February 15th 1829 and is attested by said Samuel Rigg, John Morris and Euell Rigg as will more fully appear by reference to an authenticated copy of said Will now in the possession of said james Robertson and we do further authorize and appoint said James Robertson for us and in our stead to make execute and deliver such deed of conveyance as he shall deem proper for the sale of said land and to receive for us and in our stead and to our use all such moneys or property as may be due and owing for said land when sold and receipt for the same to the purchaser the all such other acts and doings as may be necessary and proper for the completion of the sale of said land in as full and complete a manner as we ourselves could or might do if we were present and acting for ourselves. In testimony whereof we have hereunto set our hands and affixed our seals this 30th day of March AD 1830.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal of Office at Springfield the 30th day of March A.D. 1830.
