In Memoriam - November 24th

1825 Casper Johnson in Pennsylvania age 34 the son of Benjamin & Abigail (Roberts) Johnson.  Casper was born in Richland, PA in 1791.  He married Mary Gibson and they had three children:  Joseph, Gibson and Milton. 

2008 Roma Hepworth Zeller born February 20, 1936 in Hinckley, UT to Orlando and Fern Elizabeth Reeve Hepworth, the ninth of 10 children.  She died at her home in Erda, UT on November 24, 2008 with her husband by her side.
Roma obtained most of her schooling in Hinckley, Utah and graduated Delta High School.  Graduated from College of Southern Utah earning teaching credentials.  Taught many 1st graders at Harris Elementary.  She loved teaching.  Married love of her life Don Zeller, in Manti Temple on July 5, 1962.  They made their home in Erda.  She loved taking care of her husband and raising her sons, Bill, Chris and Dan.  Loved her boys and taught them many things.
Loved to go on walks and listening to Mormon Tabernacle Choir, quilting, playing organ, gardening and growing best cucumbers and tomatoes in Tooele Valley.  Enjoyed scouting and teaching Blazer Scouts.  Her involvement ensured all whom she taught went on to earn their Eagle Scout.  For involvement in Scouting, Roma earned District Award of Merit and Silver Beaver Award.  Grandkids' happiest memories of her include getting cookies in exchange for hugs, making rolls with her, playing gaves like Mother May I and having her read to them.  Member of the LDS church.  Loved serving in church - callings in Primary, Scouts and Relief Society.
Survived by husband: Don; sons: Bill (Anne) Chris (Kim); Dan (Michele); grandchildren Krysta, Amy Shannon, Erica, Joseph, Jared, Chloe, Malaya, Jonathan; brother: Lester (Elaine) Hepworth; sisters: Thola (Joseph) Kolan, Beth Applegate.  Preceded in death by sisters; Grace, Berneice, Rae; brothers: Melvin, June Harold.
Funeral services: Saturday November 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. in the Erda Ward Chapel.  Viewings at the Church on Friday evening from 7-8 p.m. and on Saturday morning from 9:30-10:40 a.m. Buried Tooele City Cemetery.

2012 Verna Kay Anderson, 68, of Keenes, died 2 p.m. Nov. 24, 2012.
She was born Jan. 28, 1944, in Bluford, the daughter of Harold and Opal Wollitz Ward.
She is survived by a stepson, Von Anderson; a step-great-grandson [sic] Jeremy Anderson of keenes; a special friend Ruth Stewart and husband Tennessee of Wayne City; and two sisters Norma Vojtas of Reynoldsburgh, Ohio and Mary Joe Tucker of Blacklick, Ohio.
She was a homemaker.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Wednesday at Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City.  Burial will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Visitation willl be held from 10 a.m. to noon on Wednesday at the funeral home.
