1828 Rachel
(Goodnight) Young in Shelby Co., KY age 57.
Rachel was born in Mecklenberg Co., NC ca. 1771 the daughter of Hans
& Mary (Landis) Goodnight the family moved to Kentucky in 1781 where her
father and brother were killed by Indians.
She married Jacob Young and they had twelve children: Mary, unnamed son, John, Elizabeth, Michael,
Rachel, Sarah, Juliette, William, Andrew, unnamed daughter and Susan. She would become the great grandmother of
Harry Truman.
1884 Owen Hocker son
of George & Nancy (Hocker) Hocker in Kentucky, age 71. He was born in Lincoln Co., KY in 1813. Owen married 1) Mary Sandifer and 2) Lucinda
Shewmaker. He had four children: Nancy, William, George and Mary. He is buried in Parksville Cemetery,
Parksville, KY.
1960 Anna (Heady)
Erkman the daughter of Winfield & Martha (Sibbett) Heady age 68 in Hamilton
Co., IL. She was born in Shelby Co., IL
and married John Erkman. The couple had
eight children. Fredia, Jessie, John,
Edith, William, Opal, Wilburn and Wilma.
