In Memoriam - October 29th

1604 Luke Ogle in Newcastle, England age 24.  He was the son of Luke Ogle born in Eglingham in 1580.  Luke married Isabella Craster and they had at least two sons: Nicholas and Henry.  He is buried at St. Nicholas Church in Newcastle.

1898 Lula Powell the 15 year old daughter of Dewitt & Mary (Henderson) Powell in Richland Co., IL.  She was born there in 1883 and is buried in Amity Cemetery.

1926 Henry Harre age 80 in White Co., IL, born in Germany in 1846.  He was the husband of Louisa Probst.  Henry is buried in Hammack Cemetery in White Co., IL.


1943 Charles Cassady in Louisville, KY the son of Thomas & Sarah (Speer) Cassady, he was 70 years old.  Charles was born in Kentucky in 1873.  He married was married to a woman named Hattie.

1944 Anna (Drummet) Clark in Sterling, IL age 67.  She was born in Rutland, IL in 1877 and married Archie Clark.  They had a son Ephraim. 

1946 Mary (Barnett) Fitzgerald age 87 in Clay City, IL.  She was born in Richland Co., IL in 1859 the daughter of Fillman & Amanda (Pierce) Barnett.  Marry married 1) ? Miller, 2) ? Rutter and 3) Stewart Fitzgerald.  She had six children: Nye Rutter, Harvey Rutter, Ira Fitzgerald, Edmore Fitzgerald, James Fitzgerald  and Alta Fitzgerald.  Stewart and Mary were divorced ca. 1905.

1965 Miss Melbourne Marcell Lathrop, Olney, Ill., died at the Lincoln Hospital, Lincoln, Ill., Tuesday, Oct. 26th at 1:00 p.m.  She was born in Petty Township, Lawrence County, July 12, 1923 the daughter of Orson Lathrop, deceased, and Mrs. Lena Steward Lathrop of Olney, Ill.
Besides her mother, she is survived by one sister, Mrs. Wanda Laughlin of Cardington, OH.
Funeral services will be held at the Sivert Funeral Home Friday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Joseph White in charge.  Burial will be made in the Sumner Cemetery.
1999 Mrs. Caroline M. (During) Colclasure, 87, died at 4:06 a.m. Friday Oct. 29, 1999 at Villa Franciscan in Joliet.
She was retired from the Sunbeam Corporation after more than 18 years service.
A Mass will be held at St. Edward Catholic Church here at 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 26, with graveside rites at Maple Hill Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday.  The body has been cremated.
Mrs. Colclasure and her husband moved to Mill Shoals in 1975.  She went to live with Gary and Joan Colclasure in Romeoville in July 1995, due to failing health.  Her husband died June 30, 1985.  Her parents and ten siblings preceded her in death. 
She was born at Tuscola June 13, 1912, the daughter of Andy During and Lena Grostephan.
She was married to Lowell F. Colclasure May 9, 1959.
Survivors include six stepchildren, Shirley (Harold) Moore of Fairfield; Wanda Jordon of Carmi; Lowell (Arla) Colclasure Jr. of Romeoville; Gary (Joan) Colclasure of Romeoville; James Colclasure of Romeoville; and Pat (Rick) Feutch of Lomira, Wi; 22 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; one nephew and two nieces.
