In Memoriam May 10th

1772 Rachel Clark daughter of James & Esther (Marsh) Clark about a month old.  She is buried at the Baptist Church in Scotch Plains, NJ.

1971 Alan Leturno age 18 the son of John & Norma (Lathrop) Leturno.  He was born in Taylorville, IL in 1952.

1991 Sylva Lathrop Dix, 75, of Rockford, former Chicago resident, died Friday May 10, 1991 in Placentia-Linda Hospital in Placentia, Calif.
Born January 23, 1916, daughter of Mont and Daisy Caudle Lathrop, she was a retired registered nurse.
Survivors include four sons, Paul (Nona) Thomas, Jr., Arlington Heights, Joseph (Karen) St. Charles, Mathew (Marge Kozel), Maywood and William, St. Louis, Mo.; two daughters, Antoinette (Robert) Krane, Knoxville, Tenn. and Martha (Pete) Cannon, Temecula, Calif.; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two sisters, Lorraine and Helen. She was predeceased by her husband, Paul Thomas Dix.
Services at St. James Catholic Church with burial in All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.  Published in Register Star (Rockford, IL) ~ May 17, 1991

1991 Wanda A. (Lathrop) Laughlin, 69, of Olney, died Friday, May 10, 1991 at 1:45 p.m. at Burgin Manor Nursing Home in Olney.
Funeral services will be Monday, May 13, 1991 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Summers-Kistler Funeral Home in Olney, with Rev. Paul H. Prater officiating. Burial will be in Crest Haven Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday evening 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Mrs. Laughlin was born in Lawrence County, June 7, 1921, the daughter of Orson and Lena (Steward) Lathrop. She married Rex Laughlin on Dec. 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on June 13,1979.
Mrs. Laughlin was a retired school teacher in Olney and Sumner.
She was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Olney.
Mrs. Laughlin is survived by two sons, Gary and Orson Laughlin, both of Olney; one daughter, Carmen Hudson of Noble and seven grandchildren.
Mrs. Laughlin was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one brother and one sister.  Published in Olney Daily Mail, IL.
2009 Dolores Burton, 92, Coal City, former Burnt Prairie and Fairfield resident, died Sunday, May 10, 2009 at her home.
Born June 4, 1916 in Sailor Springs, she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Bell Fitzgerald Colclasure.
She was a member of Island City Baptist Church in Wilmington. 
Survivors include children: Laura Burke of Coal City, Inz (Byron) Barr of Rinard, and John Harvey, Jr. (Erin) Burton; one brother, Dale (Hazel) Colclasure of Burnt Prairie; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; plus numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and other children that she raised.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband John H. Burton, Sr. September 23, 1991 and numerous brother and sisters.
