In Memoriam April 3rd

1816 Philip Porter age 53 in Muskingum Co., OH, he was born in Baltimore, MD in 1763.  Philip married Mary Baughman in 1793 and they had three children: Henry, Elizabeth and Mary.  He is buried in Muskingum Co., OH.

1875 Lydia (Wolfe) McCoy the daughter of John & Elizabeth (Cornwell) Wolfe age 85.  She was born in 1789 and married George McCoy in 1813. They had a son, Riley.  Lydia is buried in Stampers Creek Cemetery in Orange Co., IN.


1965 Ethel (Austin) Richardson age 78 was born in 1886.  She married Orley Richardson in 1903 and they had six children: Leonard, Aubrey, Cyril, Vernon, Clyde & Parvin. 


1993 Raymond Smith age 82 the son of Stanley & Albertdenia (Miller) Smith he was born in 1911.  Raymond was a World War II veteran and married Gladys Martin in 1945.  They had two children: Donald and Gary.  Raymond is buried in Marine Cemetery in St. Jacob, IL.

1999 Funeral rites for 102-year-old Clara Bell Dove of Cisne and formerly of Keenes, were conducted Saturday afternoon from the Richardson Funeral Home in Wayne City, with Bro. Chuck Smith officiating.

Interment was in Bruce Cemetery near Wayne City.

There was visitation prior to the funeral at the funeral home.

Mrs. Dove, a housewife, died at 8 p.m. Wednesday, Mar. 31, 1999, at the Cisne Health Care Center.

She was born in Wayne County Mar. 20, 1897, the daughter of William and Phoebe Solomon Wood.

She was married to Joseph Dove, who preceded her in death in 1955.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, two sons Kenneth and Kermit and one grandson.

She was a member of the Keenes Christian Church.


Surviving are one son, Keith Dove of Fairfield; two grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
