Peter Saltzman
Peter Saltzman/Saltsman/Salsman was born ca. 1765 in either Pennsylvania or Kentucky. He may have been Jewish. The name of his first wife is not known. They had two children, George and Susannah. He married in 1802 Catherine Bailey in Bullitt County, Kentucky. The couple lived in Grayson County, Kentucky and had at least four children there, Daniel, John, William and Jessie. The above image is the record of Peter Saltzman in the 1820 Grayson County census.

Between 1830 and 1840 Peter moved his family to Pulaski County, Missouri. He died there in 1849 and is buried in Arroll Cemetery in Arroll, Missouri.
