In Memoriam January 30th

1999 Mrs. Mary (Johnson) Whitlow, 68, of Fairfield, died at 12:57 p.m. Saturday Jan. 30, 1999 at her home of an apparent heart attack.  She was a retired nurse’s aide and worked at Way-Fair Restorium for 16 years.  She was the widow of LeaRoy Whitlow, longtime Fairfield city employee and electric line crew chief.  Funeral rites will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday from Nale’s Funeral Home here, with Rev. Glenn Smith officiating.  Interment will be in Maple Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 6 to 8 Monday evening (tonight) at Nale’s Funeral Home.  She was born in Fairfield Sept. 28, 1930, the daughter of Harry and Laura Colclasure Johnson.  On June 3, 1948 she was married to LeaRoy Whitlow.  He died Nov. 28, 1992.  Also preceding her in death were her parents, one brother and one sister.  Mrs. Whitlow was one of the founding members of the Fairfield Church of the Nazarene.  Surviving are three daughters Linda Thomason of Aurora; Doris Riddle and Brenda Lee, both of Fairfield; two sons,  Dennis Whitlow of Chaffee, Mo.; and John Whitlow of Fairfield; one brother Guy Johnson of Fairfield; 11 grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
