In Memoriam January 15

1742 Jabez Perkins age 64 in Norwich, CT.  He was born 1677 in Ipswich, MA the son of Sgt. Jacob & Elizabeth (Lovell) Perkins.  He married Hannah Lathrop in 1698 and they had eight children.  He married 2nd Charity Hodges in 1722 in Middleboro, MA and had a daughter.

1818 Esther (Marsh) Clark age 72 in Scotch Plains, NJ the daughter of Charles & Esther (Cutter) Marsh she was born in 1746.  She married James Clark ca. 1767.  They had four children.  She is buried at the Baptist Church in Scotch Plains, NJ.

1882 John Young age 86.  He was born in 1795 the son of Jacob & Rachel (Goodnight) Young.  He married Judith Goldsmith in 1817.


1974 Mrs. Alma Corrie Lathrop, age 87, of 702 E. Laurel St., passed away yesterday afternoon at the family residence following a long period of ill health. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday in the Memorial chapel of the Summers-Marshall Funeral Home with the Rev. David McNabb officiating.  Interment will be in the Amity cemetery in German Township.  Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday.  Mrs. Lathrop was a native of Lukin township in Lawrence County and was the daughter of W.F. Corrie and Elva McGuire Corrie.  She was united in marriage to Curtis Lathrop on December 16, 1908 and he preceded her in death on Nov. 18, 1972.  She leaves two daughters; Miss Wilma Lathrop of Olney and Mrs. Betty Manning of Newton; a daughter-in-law Mrs. Dorothea Lathrop of Olney and a son-in-law, Corwin Manning of Newton. There are 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.  She also leaves a sister, Mrs. Ruby Judy of Lawrenceville.  Besides her husband, Mrs. Lathrop has been preceded in death by a son, Kenneth and three brothers, Elmer, Glen and Everett Corrie.
