A single birthday:

1667 Samuel Rockwell in Windsor, CT was the son of Samuel & Mary (Norton) Rockwell.  He died in 1725.

1820 John Goodnight & Rhode Brown in Lincoln Co., KY.  John the son of Jacob & Elizabeth (Hoover) Goodnight was born 1794 in Lincoln Co., KY.  The couple had two children.  Rhode died in Lincoln Co., KY in 1823.  John married 2) Agnes Jones in 1825 and they had six children.  John moved his family to Clear Creek, IN in 1827 and to Henderson Co., IL in 1852.  He died in Henderson Co., IL in 1879

1826 Abraham Colclasure & Margaret Gardiner in Clarke Co., IN.  Abraham born 1798 was the son of Jacob & Elinor (Dennen) Colclasure.  He died in 1849.

1854 John Hord & Mahala Benefield in Clay Co., IL.  Mahala daughter of Robert & Elizabeth (Blair) Benefield was born in Clay Co., IL in 1835.  The couple had nine children.  John died in Clay Co., IL in 1887.  Mahala married 2) George Smith in 1897 and 3) William Smith in 1904. William married 1) Clarinda Benefield, Mahala’s sister.  Mahal died in 1916 in Neoga, IL.

When a small child, her parents moved to Texas, where in a short time after their arrival the father was bitten by a rattle snake and died.  The mother and family returned to Clay county, Ill., where she died after a few years.

 Aley grew up with the other brothers and sisters and in about 1854 she was married to John Hord.  She was converted and with the husband united with the Lucas Creek Christian Church in 1872 and always after lived as close to her savior as she could.  She worked hard in rearing her own eight children, besides assisting in rearing four of her brother's children and six of her grandchildren.

Aunt Aley, as she was called, departed this life at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Charles Cornwell, in Neoga January 13, 1916, being about 82 years of age.  She leaves besides her two children, eighteen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild to mourn their loss.  Aunt Aley will be missed by all who knew her.  [Excerpts from Mahala Benefield's obituary]

1890 William Spry & Margaret Tolbert in Louisville, IL. William born 1868 was the son of Daniel & Susan (Brooks) Spry.  Margaret born in 1855 was the daughter of Thomas Tolbert.  She married 1) ? Harris and 2) ? Phelps.  The couple had no children.  William died in 1922 in Wayne Co., IL.

1946 Ernest Johnson & Rosemary Sturton in England.  Ernie born 1909 in Wayne Co., IL the son of Charles & Hannah (Robertson) Johnson.  Rosemary was born 1923 in England. The couple met while Ernie was in England during World War II.  Ernie was a school teacher and farmer in Wayne Co., IL when they returned to the U.S.  They had two sons.  Ernie died in Carmi, IL in 1995 and is buried at St. Polycarp Catholic Church in Carmi. Rosemary died in Eldorado, IL in 2006.

1973 Donald Oliver & Janice Pierson in Clay Co., IL.  Donald is the son of Charles & Rilla (Cook) Oliver.  They have one child.  

1971 Mike Scarborough & Lisa Legg.  Lisa is the daughter of Gerald & Patty (Robertson) Legg.  The couple have 2 children.
