Birthdays ~ 

1552 Thomas Stacey baptized Epping, England.  He was the son of William & Alice (?) Stacey

1735 John Tipton Hunt, Sr. son of John & Elizabeth (Tipton) Hunt in Baltimore, MD.  He married Mary Overall ca. 1761.  They were living in Frederick Co. VA in 1763.  Mary died ca. 1773.  John married 2) Esther Harper ca. 1766.  They moved to Shenandoah Co. VA ca. 1770.  John & Esther moved to Fleming Co. KY ca. 1800 where he died in1807.  John is buried in Crain Cemetery, Fleming Co. VA.  The cemetery is fenced but very few stones still exist.

Morton Butler

1870 Mary Crumbacher in Illinois the daughter of James & Nancy (Gentle) Crumbacher.  She married Mony Harrington.  She died in 1948.

1883 Morton Butler son of George & Florence (Gentle) Butler in Jefferson Co. IL.  He died in 1953 in Wayne City, IL.  He worked as a carpenter and built the altar of the First United Methodist Church in Wayne City among other things.  Morton also ran a grocery store in Wayne City. He is buried in Thomason Cemetery, Wayne Co. IL.

1939 Leona Keen in Wayne Co. IL the daughter of Clyde & Dorothy (Shaw) Keen.  She married Buzzy Caudle and had a son.  Buzzy died ca. 1958 in a car wreck.  Leona married 2) Robert Robertson.  They had eight children.  Leona died in 2009 in Mt. Vernon, IL and is buried in Ten Post Oak Cemetery, Wayne Co. IL.

Marriages ~

1855 James Gurley & Sarah Gidcombs in Massac Co. IL.  James born 1834 in Tennessee was the son of William & Polly (?) Gurley.  The family was living in Pope Co., IL in 1840.  Sarah was born ca. 1830.

1862 John Robertson & Parthena Gore in Macoupin Co. IL.  John the son of David & Rebecca (Clark) Robertson was born 1842 in Ohio.  He migrated to Illinois with his parents ca. 1845.  They were living in Jefferson Co in 1850 and in Macoupin Co. in 1860.  John served in Co. F 7^th IL Infantry during the Civil War.  Parthena was born in 1843.  The couple had four children.  Parthena died ca. 1875.  John married Theresa Herman in 1879 and they had six children.  In the 1881 they were living in Madison Co., IL.  They eventually moved back to Wayne Co. where John died in 1919 and Theresa in 1930.  They are buried in Pin Oak Cemetery.
