1717 – George Dennison & Lucy Gallop.  Lucy born 1701 daughter of Benadam & Esther (Prentice) Gallop.  She died in 1793.

1797 – Charles Hinkle & Susannah March in Salisbury, NC.  Charles born ca. 1777 in Germantown, PA the son of Charles & Elizabeth (Johnson) Hinkle.  Salisbury was a hub at the southern end of the great wagon road from Philadelphia.  The couple had at least six children.  And moved to Shelby Co., KY ca. 1814.  Charles died there ca. 1842.

1822 – James Smith & Elizabeth Tewalt in Winchester, VA.  James born ca. 1798 Winchester, VA the son of Christopher Smith.  Elizabeth the daughter of Peter & Margaret (Brill) Tewalt was born ca. 1805 in either Hampshire Co. or Frederick Co. VA.  They had at least eight children.  The family moved to Ohio ca. 1833 and on to Clay County, Illinois ca. 1839.  James & Elizabeth died 1843 in Clay Co. IL, leaving several small children in the care of their siblings.

1949 – John Robertson Jr. & Helen Caudle in Mt. Vernon, IL.  John born 1926 in Wayne Co., IL was the son of John & Rose (Moore) Robertson. Helen was the daughter of Stella Mamer.  They have three children.  John was killed by a driver while he was working for the Illinois Department of Transportation along a roadway in 1981.  Slow down and be careful out there!
