Birthdays: 

1890 or 1891 Everett Withrow in Leonard, TX, son of Franklin & Mary (Dove) Withrow.  Everett died in Los Angeles, CA in 1967

1897 Clara Bell Wood in Wayne Co., IL the daughter of William & Phoebe (Solomon) Wood and the wife of Joe Dove.  Clara lived to be 102 and died in 1999.  She and Joe had three children.

1908 Alma Oliver daughter of Samuel  & Gaynell (White) Oliver.  She died in 1909.  

Zella Lathrop w/ Joe & Molly

1914 Zella Merritt in Piggott, AR the daughter of J.H. & Bessie (Baker) Merritt, she died in 1986 in Mt. Vernon, IL and is buried in Mt. Zion / Farnsworth Cemetery.  She grew up in St. Louis and she and her sister sang on KMOX radio.  Zella was my favorite aunt and in many ways she was more of a grandma to me than my grandmas.  We gathered the eggs, picked greens, worked in the garden, sang songs, read the dictionary, ate good food, milked the cows, made butter, looked at the flowers, picked fruit in the orchard and played with the dogs.  She helped take care of me when I was sick.  I miss her a lot.

Jim Gurley son of Elston & Golda (Lathrop) Gurley.  He is a cousin on both sides of the family.

Marriages:

1821 Henry Porter & Lydia Stradley in Muskingum Co., OH.  Henry was born ca. 1797 in Maryland the son of Philip & Mary (Baughman) Porter.  He attended Richard McCann’s school in Muskingum Co.

1828/38 John Dove & Jane (?) Beasley in Pulaski Co., KY.  John was born ca. 1816 in Kentucky.  He moved to Illinois by 1860.  He may be the same John Dove who mustered into the Illinois 40^th infantry in Fairfield.  Jane (?) Beasley was the daughter of Isham & Judith (Coomer) Beasley.  This is where I’m stuck with the Dove line and yes, it's a mess.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  

1988 Anthony Apodoca & Lee Marple.  Lee is the daughter of David & Emily (Bond) Marple.
