Jonathan Janes Tombstone

1756 Jonathan Janes son of Jonathan & Irene (Bradford) Janes.  Tombstone inscription:  Sacred to the memory of Jonathan Janes who died at St. Albans [Vermont] on the 29th day of June AD 1825.  Aged 69 years.

1797 Phebe Sayre, died 1845.  She married Samuel Clark at Letart Falls, Ohio.  The couple had 14 children.

1871 John Branchcomb in Mt. Vernon, IL son of Daniel & Mary (Gentle) Branchcomb.  He died in Tahlequah, OK in 1948.

1896 Irene Lathrop IL daughter of George & Rosa (Petty) Lathrop

1916 Douglas Fitzgerald son of Howard & JoAnna (McDonald) Fitzgerald.  He died at the age of 2 of the influenza epidemic of 1918.

1927 John Robertson in Wayne Co. IL son of Leonard & Grace (Atkinson) Robertson, died 1986.  John married Verna Shehorn in 1951.

Misty Shelton daughter of Ronnie Shelton & Elaine Savage

Happy Anniversary:

1692 John Brown & Elizabeth Loomis. Elizabeth was the daughter of Deacon John & Elizabeth (Scott) Loomis.  She and John Brown are ancestors of the Kansas abolitionist John Brown.
