He married Ida Lathrop in Hamilton Co. IL in 1897. They had 11 children.

1902 Edward
Erkman md Gersie Gifford in Wayne Co. IL.
Edward was the son of Jacob & Fredericka (Probst) Erkman, born 1879
White Co. IL and died 1907. He and
Gersie had a son Russell in 1902. I don’t
believe they actually lived together.
Edward was in Hayti, MO in 1905 when Gersie filed for divorce. Russell married Viola Jackson and lived in
Sims, IL. They had no children. Russell died in 1977.
