Received David Robertson's estate papers from the Springfield IRAD today. There are some good leads to additional family members.
Elizabeth Suiter - probably a daughter.
William was paid for going to Edwardsville on estate business.
Lewis claims to have "elder brothers."
Henry took his share in personal property.
Mary Ann's portion is clearly marked on the appraisal bill.

David Robertson Sr. Family
Spent last Thursday in southern Ohio, Gallia and Lawrence counties to be exact, looking for information regarding David Robertson and Rebecca Clark's families. I found that David's parents were David Sr. and Mary Ann Robertson.
The best piece of info I found was the power of attorney filed by James Robertson allowing him to sell David Sr.'s property in Ohio for the family. David Robertson Sr. had moved to Sangamon County, IL and died there in 1829. Unfortunately, the will appears to be lost, however the power of attorney lists several of the children.
I also went to Hanging Rock where Rebecca's family lived. Very interesting place.
The first photo above is the Ohio River at Gallipolis. The second is Ironton, OH from the Kentucky side of the river.
Had a great time and found lots of information.
Butler Clan
Went to South Carolina in September to check up on the Butler family. Found a Morton Butler who owned land in Camden District. A very good prospect.
